Automobiles in Germany's City Found Covered with Swastikas in Human Blood, Police Report

Police mentioned they were notified by a man who noticed a car in Hanau smeared with red-colored fluid

Approximately fifty automobiles have been smeared with what appears to be blood from a person in the German city of Hanau near Frankfurt, according to law enforcement.

Automobiles, building surfaces and mailboxes were vandalized, sometimes with prohibited symbols, they stated in a official communication.

Officers state they were alerted during the night on Wednesday night, when a resident noticed that a automobile in the Lamboy neighborhood of Hanau had been smeared with a reddish fluid.

The fluid had been applied in the form of a Nazi symbol, they reported.

Police then located numerous other vandalized automobiles and building exteriors in the nearby vicinity.

These symbols are prohibited in Germany under laws outlawing the public exhibition of symbols from the Nazi era.

Officials report early analysis show the liquid was most likely human bodily fluid.

"At present there remains no indication as to its origin; authorities are currently not informed of any harm in connection with the incident," they commented.

City officials stated they were attempting "to resolve the incident" and have requested to the residents for details.

A senior official commented the attack made him without words and had to be resolved promptly.

"This incident strikes at the very heart of Hanau and revives the wounds of the extremist violent incident five years ago," he posted on social media, mentioning the killing of nine individuals by a shooter aiming at individuals of migrant background in 2020.
